The International Chess Federation (FIDE) have launched a call for bids to host events scheduled for 2022.

Competitions include the World Junior, Under-16, Youth and Senior Cadet Chess Championships.

The list also includes the World Amateur Chess Championships.

Due to the ongoing pandemic, FIDE have warned they may postpone events in 2020 to 2021, meaning events in 2021 will then be moved to 2022.

Subsequently, those bidding for 2022 events should be prepared for the possibility of their bid being considered for 2023 instead.

The deadline for bids is September 4, with interested parties invited to submit their bids in a sealed envelope to the FIDE secretariat in Lausanne.

Scanned documents can also be sent by email.
