This year's International Ski Federation (FIS) Ski Flying World Championships in Planica has been rescheduled for December after the event was postponed because of the coronvirus pandemic.

The FIS has published its provisional ski jumping calendar for the summer campaign and the 2020-2021 winter season, which includes the event in Planica taking place from December 11 to 13.

The event in the Slovenian resort had been due to be held in March before it was postponed in response to the coronavirus crisis.

The Championships are set to follow men's World Cup events in Ruka in Finland and the Russian resort of Nizhny Tagil.

A ski jumping test event for the 2022 Winter Olympic Games in Beijing, which will double as a men's and women's World Cup competition, has been scheduled for February 13 and 14.

The men's World Cup season is set to once again start in Wisla in Poland on November 21 and 22, with the women's campaign opening in Lillehammer on December 5 and 6.

Planica will provisionally host the final World Cup of the men's season in late March, while the women's calendar is set to conclude in Chaikovsky, the last stop on the blue bird tour.

The traditional Four Hills Tournament around New Year is among the other highlights on the men's World Cup schedule.

All dates are subject to change pending confirmation from the FIS Ski Jumping Committee at its next meeting on May 18.
