A total of 127 candidates from 48 countries applied for the programme, with 50 candidates shortlisted and then 23 admitted. 

The Dream Together Master is a graduate scholarship programme which is fully funded by the Korean Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Sports Promotion Foundation.

Students are given the opportunity to study sport management skills in a multicultural environment. 

FISU puts forward candidates for the scholarship each year. 

"I am excited and blessed to be part of this programme," said Nakimuli.

"This will give me knowledge of global sports management and I will use this golden opportunity to develop university sports not only in Uganda, but globally."

Jargalsaikhan also revealed her excitement at the news. 

"When I received the confirmation regarding admission it was the happiest moment of my life," she said. 

"But, at the same time, I felt a big responsibility. 

"I believe that my next two years will be intense and productive.

"I would like to express my gratitude to FISU for the support and assistance. 

"I really hope that this programme can give me the skills and knowledge to be a woman leader in sports, not only in my home country, also at the international level."

FISU Education Committee chair Verena Burk wrote to Dream Together Master director and professor Kang Joon-ho to thank him for maintaining the cooperation between Seoul National University and FISU.

"We are delighted to know that two students recommended by FISU – respectively from Uganda and Mongolia – have been accepted into the programme and will get the chance to build their future and to promote our respective values and activities which deeply honours the Seoul National University as well as FISU," she said.
