The Hungarian Paralympic Committee has announced the appointment of two new staff members - one office manager and a new communications director.

Béla Müller has been appointed the new head of communications, following roles as the press chief for several world competitions and as a content producer and manager of social media accounts, while Viktória Csizmadia will join the HPC's organising team.

Csizmadia was a member of the Organising Committee for the 2017 International Swimming Federation (FINA) World Aquatics Championships, and also a member of the team organising last year's World Urban Games.

Both events were staged in Hungarian capital Budapest.

"Through my experience so far, I’ve gained relationships and knowledge that I can hopefully capitalise on here as well," Csizmadia said.

"Fully agreeing with the committee’s motto, I would like to help with the day-to-day work as well as the lives of my colleagues.

"I have already participated in a couple of world-organised world events and I hope that this knowledge can help everyone in their task.

"The shortest way between people is a smile, it is an absolute characteristic of my own creed."

Müller highlighted his admiration of Para-athletes.

"It's incredible to me how much energy they can mobilise.

"I want their news to reach everyone in the world.

"That's why I'm going to work, so I'm trying to help their work."

The HPC recently held a charity auction to raise money which will go towards organ donations as it continues to mobilise while there is a great reduction in sporting activity due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
