The International Wheelchair Rugby Federation (IWRF) has updated its development structure by creating four regions.
These are the Americas, Asia and Oceania, Europe, and the Middle East and Africa (MEA).
MEA is the sole new region created, and the IWRF says this "allows a strategic focus on that region".
However, this will not change the structure of IWRF competitions, with MEA continuing to be part of the Asia and Oceania region as far as competition purposes go.
The IWRF Board approved this creation of four development region.
It has also given the green light to recruiting and appointing four volunteer regional general managers to support the development activities in their designated region.
Regional managers will replace those previously termed "Zonal Presidents" and report to the IWRF's head of development, Chérie Harris.
Individuals who would like to apply for the roles must send a CV and cover letter by October 31, with more information available here.
