Aleksandar Boričić has won another four-year term as President of the European Volleyball Confederation (CEV) at the organisation's General Assembly in Vienna.

Boričić, who had been CEV President since 2015, received 36 of 55 votes.

Hanno Pevkur of Estonia, his sole rival, received 19 votes.

Boričić, who is Serbian, played more than 100 times for Yugoslavia and won a bronze at his home European Championships in 1975.

Since retiring, Boričić has been President of the Volleyball Federation of Yugoslavia, Volleyball Federation of Serbia and Montenegro and Volleyball Federation of Serbia - holding those roles from 1992 until 2016.

He is additionally second executive vice-president of the International Volleyball Federation.
