Uzbekistan and Poland won five of the six gold medals on offer at the International Weightlifting Federation 2020 Online Youth World Cup, thanks to two individual outstanding performances.

The most impressive of these was Nigora Abdullaeva of Uzbekistan, winning all three titles in the women's 55 kilogram category.

Abdullaeva comprehensively won the snatch event with a mark of 84kg ahead of the Philippines' Rosegie Ramos who won silver after lifting 78kg.

Poland's Malgorzata Myjak won bronze with a best lift of 75kg.

Then, Abdullaeva won the clean and jerk, ensuring that the overall title was also hers, having cleared 104kg - a long way in front of silver medallist Victoria Buitron of Peru, who lifted 99kg.

Ramos won her second medal of the day with bronze in the clean and jerk, clearing 98kg.

With a combined score of 188kg, Abdullaeva put on the most dominant performance seen so far in the World Cup, with Ramos finishing with a mark of 176kg.

Buitron's performance in the clean and jerk earned her the overall bronze ahead of Myjak, scoring a total of 172kg.

Elsewhere in the men's 67kg, the star performer was Konrad Lazuga of Poland who won two gold medals in the snatch and overall competitions.

Lazuga set himself up well for an overall win when he won the snatch by four kilograms, finishing with a best of 124kg ahead of silver medallist from Azerbaijan, Murad Aliyev.

In a distant third, Turkey's only medal of the day went to Mustafa Erdogan with a lift of 113kg.

Ukraine's Mark Lievanzov shone in the clean and jerk after both recording a lift of 143kg.

Luzaga was close behind with a lift of 142kg to take silver, also sealing the overall title in the process; while Peru's Mateo Renteria took a bronze close behind with 141kg.

The Polish lifter's total came to 266kg, while Aliyev finished in the silver medal position with 259kg.

Lievanzov finished in a distant bronze with a total of 254kg, just ahead of Erdogan on 253kg.

Uzbekistan now move to third in the medal table behind day one performers Peru and day two's top nation, Mexico.
