Austria triumphed in the team event at the International Ski Federation (FIS) Ski Jumping World Cup in the Polish town of Wisla.

The victorious Austrian team featured Michael Hayböck, Philipp Aschenwald, Daniel Huber and Stefan Kraft, last season's overall World Cup winner.

The quartet achieved a total of 1,078.0 points to top the podium.

Austria had also won the team contest at last year's World Cup event in Wisla.

In second were Germany's Constantin Schmid, Pius Paschke, Karl Geiger and Markus Eisenbichler, who finished with 1,069.3.

Germany are the reigning Nations Cup champions.

Reigning Olympic normal hill champion Andreas Wellinger, who is making his World Cup comeback after a lengthy period on the sidelines with a knee injury, was not included in the German team.

Poland earned the bronze medal with a total of 1,061.5.

Piotr Zyla, Klemens Muranka, Dawid Kubacki and Kamil Stoch - who topped yesterday's individual qualifying event - were representing the hosts.

Competition is scheduled to conclude tomorrow with the individual contest.
