Latvian side Riga have won the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) 3x3 World Tour Finals 2020 in Jeddah in Saudi Arabia after a dramatic last shot against Serbia's Liman.

The two best teams this year met in the final and with both teams on course for the title at various times throughout the dramatic contest, Riga pulled off a last-gasp two-point shot to win with just seconds to go, triumphing 21-20.

The quarter-finals started off the action for the day, with one of the favourites for the tournament, Liman, stopping the home side Jeddah in the first game by a score of 20-17.

Liman, who have the joint-most points in the 2020 rankings, set up a semi-final with Lithuanian side Utena, having won 20-15 against Amsterdam of The Netherlands in the quarter-finals.

On the other side of the draw, reigning champions Novi Sad, also of Serbia, were comfortable 21-16 winners over the United States' NY Harlem to progress too.

However, the most convincing victory of the round went the way of the top team so far this season, Riga, who thrashed Ub 21-11 in the final game of the quarter-finals.

Liman then booked their place in the final with a convincing 21-13 victory over Utena while Riga ensured that the two favourites made it to the final after an 18-15 victory over Novi Sad.

In the final, Riga took a commanding early lead, but a myriad of mistakes and missed opportunities helped Liman back into the game, despite being four points behind at the halfway stage.

Liman continued on a good run and gave themselves a two-point gap at 20-18, requiring just a point to win the game with less than a minute to go.

Riga scored a single shot to give themselves a chance of winning and after many close shaves for both teams, Riga sealed the title with a two-point shot to win 21-20.
