Para-taekwondo athlete Antonino Bossolo has been re-elected to the Italian Paralympic Committee (CIP) Athletes' Commission.

Bossolo will represent the Italian Taekwondo Federation on the CIP Athletes' Commission from 2021 to 2024.

This period includes the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics, which Bossolo has already qualified for, and the Paris 2024 Paralympics. 

Para-taekwondo is set to make its Paralympic debut at Tokyo 2020. 

Bossolo also became the first Para-taekwondo athlete to join the Fiamme Oro, the sport section of the Italian police force. 

This will see him become a policeman alongside his Para-taekwondo career.

Despite his new responsibilities, Bossolo revealed he was still aiming for a medal at Tokyo 2020. 

"I have the first step towards my greatest goal, being already done with qualification for the Tokyo Paralympics," he said, as reported by Gazzetta

"Now I'm aiming to put the icing on the cake and win a medal."

Bossolo, who competes in the 61 kilogram K44 division, earned his first European title in 2018.
