Fares Dessouky of Egypt has broken back into the top 10 of the Professional Squash Association (PSA) men's world rankings after triumphing at the Black Ball Open last month.

Dessouky will feature in the top 10 of the men's world rankings for the first time since November 2017.

The 26-year-old moved up three places to number eight in the January rankings.

This came after Dessouky came back from one game down to defeat compatriot Ali Farag in the final of the Black Ball Open in Cairo.

Farag tops the world rankings and is followed by fellow Egyptians Mohamed ElShorbagy and Tarek Momen.

Joel Makin of Wales is world number nine and Colombia's Miguel Rodríguez rounds off the top 10.

Kuwait’s Abdullah Al Muzayen is the biggest mover on the men’s PSA World Tour, rising 195 places to world number 454.

The upcoming schedule for the World Tour is uncertain due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
