Norway's Halvor Egner Granerud will be aiming for a fifth successive International Ski Federation (FIS) Ski Jumping World Cup event win in the double-header in Zakopane in Poland due to start tomorrow.

Granerud is close to mathematically sealing the overall title with nine events to go, sitting more than four victories ahead of second-placed Markus Eisenbichler in Germany.

Two victories at The Great Krokiew in Zakopane would extend his win streak to six and surely put any challengers out of contention for the overall title.

The Norwegian has been sublime so far this season, winning 10 of the 19 events so far.

Eisenbichler has not won since the second event of the season, but will likely feature close to the podium again, with the German finishing with the bronze in three of the last five competitions.

Chasing him for second is Polish three-time Olympic champion Kamil Stoch, winner of a silver medal on the first of two days in Klingenthal last time out, while the last winner that was not Granerud was another Norwegian, Robert Johansson.

Johansson's form has been improving and he finds himself fifth in the overall standings, ahead of Poland's Dawid Kubacki, who has not featured on the podium since January 3.

Stoch's team-mates Andrzej Stękała and Piotr Żyła could be contenders for a podium too.

The World Cup in Zakopane is set to start with qualification tomorrow before two rounds on Saturday (February 13) and Sunday (February 14) respectively.
