Back-to-back Paralympic champion Zahra Nemati of Iran is through to the final of the recurve women's open contest at the Fazza Para Archery World Ranking Tournament, having maintained the dominance she showed in qualifying.

Nemati was a 6-0 victor in the both the quarter-finals and semi-finals in Dubai, and will face Turkey's Şengül Yağmur in the Friday's (February 26) final.

Şengül beat compatriot Merve Nur Eroğlu 6-4 in her semi-final.

Russian Stepanida Artakhinova topped women's compound open qualification yesterday and like Nemati turned that into a place in the final.

Artakhinova scored 144 in the last eight and 143 in the last four - both better scores than anyone else in the competition produced - to set up a showdown with India's Jyoti Baliyan.

In the men's compound open, an all-Indian final between Shyam Sundar Swami and Rakesh Kumar awaits.

Kumar was seeded eighth after qualifying, but knocked out top qualifier Serhiy Atamanenko of Ukraine in the quarter-finals.

In the men's recurve open, Russia's Anton Ziapaev and Ukraine's Mykola Halyshych both upset top-two seeds to reach the final.

Lastly, in the men's W1, Bahattin Hekimoğlu and Yiğit Caner Aydin advanced to what will be an all-Turkish final and is scheduled tomorrow.

Team semi-finals and finals are also due to be held tomorrow, ahead of individual compound and recurve finals on Friday.
