The Egyptian capital held the competition in 2019 and 2020, with the Mall of Arabia set to play host for the third successive year. 

Sponsored by Commercial International Bank (CIB), the World Tour Finals features 16 of the world's best male and female squash players. 

Eight men and eight women compete in a round robin best-of-three games group stage, before progressing to the knockout stages. 

"The CIB PSA World Tour Finals is one of our flagship tournaments and I look forward to watching the world’s best squash players compete at the Mall of Arabia in the summer," said PSA chief executive Alex Gough.

"Karim Darwish did a magnificent job as tournament promoter of staging the 2019-2020 CIB PSA World Tour Finals last October against the backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic and we’re pleased to see the finals move back to its regular slot in the calendar.

"The CIB PSA World Tour Finals pits the best of the best up against each other right from day one and has a different structure to any other PSA World Tour event. 

"All of this makes for an enthralling spectacle and I’m excited to see how the week plays out in June."

Both the men and women's respective world number ones - Ali Farag and Nour El Sherbini - have already qualified for the World Tour Finals. 

The pair won Egyptian Open titles in a home setting in October. 

Egypt's Tarek Momen, Fares Dessouky, Mostafa Asal and Marwan ElShorbagy, New Zealand's Paul Coll, Joel Makin of Wales and Peru's Diego Elías are currently poised to qualify for the tournament according to the CIB Road to Egypt standings. 

El Sherbini tops the women’s CIB Road to Egypt standings and is currently joined in the top eight by compatriots Nouran Gohar, Nour El Tayeb, Hania El Hammamy, Camille Serme of France, Britain's Sarah-Jane Perry, Amanda Sobhy of the US and New Zealand's Joelle King.

The prize fund is $370,000 (£266,300/€311,200) which will be split equally between the men and women’s draws.

"The CIB PSA World Tour Finals is one of the most prestigious squash events in the world," said CIB PSA World Tour Finals tournament promoter Karim Darwish.
