SoFi Stadium, which is due host the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Los Angeles, has launched an official tour programme, giving fans the opportunity to tour one of the most technologically advanced venues in the world.

SoFi Stadium, whose anchor tenants are National Football League (NFL) franchises, the Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers, officially opened last September but, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, has yet to be filled to its full 70,000-seat capacity.

The tour is an immersive, behind-the-scenes experience that takes visitors on a journey through the creation of SoFI Stadium and aims to offer the opportunity to show what it feels like to be an NFL player on match day.

"SoFi Stadium Tours will give visitors an inside look into the making of SoFi Stadium and a chance to experience game day from a player’s perspective," said Jason Gannon, managing director of SoFi Stadium and Hollywood Park.

"Our goal is to create extraordinary experiences for guests each time they visit the Hollywood Park campus.

"Our tour programme is one way we intend to deliver on that promise."

The Rams and the Chargers last year played the entirety of their debut seasons at SoFi Stadium, which cost more than $5 billion (£3.5 billion/€4 billion) to construct, without spectators due to pandemic restrictions.

SoFi Stadium staged its first event with spectators last month as around 20,000 people attended the "Vax Live" concert.

Besides hosting the Ceremonies during Los Angeles 2028, SoFi Stadium is also due to stage archery and football.

It is also expected to be a host venue when the United States stages the 2026 FIFA World Cup along with Canada and Mexico.
