Averina won the ball, hoop and ribbon finals - and placed second in the clubs contest too - to underline her status as the athlete to beat ahead of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

Bulgaria, the host nation, also enjoyed a successful last day, winning five balls gold and earning the silver medal in the three hoops and two pairs of clubs, behind Israel.

Averina, a 13-time world champion, scored 28.350 points in the hoop final and 28.850 in the ball, relegating Israel's Linoy Ashram to second place on each occasion. 

Ashram did at least triumph with the clubs, scoring 28.500 to beat Averina by 0.300 points, but the Russia superstar was not done and posted 24.700 for a whopping victory in the ribbon final.

Ribbon runner-up Alina Harnasko of Belarus was 1.500 points behind, while yesterday's all-around champion, Arina Averina, scored 22.600 in third place.

Harnasko also picked up a ball bronze medal and compatriot Anastasia Salos was third in the hoop and clubs finals.

Bulgaria won the team five balls final through a score of 47.500, which narrowly beat Russia's 47.275.

Bronze went to Israel, more than a point behind with 46.150.

The Israelis were celebrating after the three hoops and two pairs of clubs final, however, which was won by an even tighter margin.

Israel scored 46.150, hosts Bulgaria 45.950, and Italy took bronze, some way back on 43.375.
