Costa Rica dominated the final day of the Pan American Sambo Championships in Colombia which saw the action move to the sand for beach competitions.

The Central American nation won four of the eight gold medals available at Bosconia Hotel Court in Villavicencio.

Hanz Molina was among the country's winners as he claimed gold in the men's 71 kilograms division.

Reina Cordoba topped the podium in the women's 59kg class and Nicole Castro was the women's 72kg winner.

The Costa Ricans also won the team competition to end the day with half of the beach titles on offer.

Hosts Colombia, Venezuela, Nicaragua and Mexico also claimed beach titles as the event concluded.

Yolman Mora was the home delegation's winner in the men's 88kg category.

Lucas Borregales won the men's 58kg for Venezuela and Moises Frederick triumphed in the men's over-88kg class for Nicaragua.

Martha Rodriguez was the Mexican winner, taking gold in the women's 50kg division.
