The United States won two gold medals and a bronze on the third day of the Wrestling World Championships in Oslo in Norway, rounding off a successful day for the nation.

In the final of the men's under-57 kilogram freestyle category, Thomas Patrick Gilman of the United States defeated Iranian Alireza Nosratolah Sarlak for the gold medal.

Belarusian Aryan Tsiutryn won against Turkish wrestler Suleyman Atli for the first bronze medal, and Horst Justin Junior Lehr of Germany claimed the second with a victory over Abubakar Mutaliev of the Russian Wrestling Federation (RWF).

RWF did win a gold in the men's under-65kg freestyle, with Zagir Shakhiev comprehensively beating Amirmohammad Yazdani of Iran in the final.

Bronze went to Alibek Osmonov of Kyrgyzstan after his win over Poland's Krzysztof Bienkowski, and he was joined on the podium by Tulga Tumur Ochir of Mongolia who defeated Rohit Kumar of India.

American Jordan Burroughs claimed the men's under-79kg title after defeating Mohammad Nokhodilarimi of Iran in the final.

Radik Valiev of the RWF and Nika Kentchadze of Georgia beat Japan's Ryuki Yoshida and Arman Avagyan of Armenia respectively to finish third.

Iran's Kamran Ghasempour won the last gold of the night in the men's under-92kg freestyle final against RWF's Magomed Kurbanov.

Azerbaijan's Osman Nurmagomedov won against Amarhajy Mahamedau of Belarus in the first bronze medal bout; and American wrestler J'den Cox claimed the other, making up for missing the chance to compete for his country at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

After missing the weigh-in deadline by 13 minutes at the US Olympic Trials, he was deemed ineligible to compete at the Games.

He claimed bronze at the 2021 World Championships by beating Ukraine's Andrii Vlasov.
