Belgium's Paralympians are set to be given a boost by the Antwerp 10 Miles race this weekend.

Paralympic Team Belgium - the Belgian Paralympic Committee's competitive identify - has been chosen as one of two charity beneficiaries of this year's race.

Village no. 2 Queen Fabiola, which works to help people with impairments lead more independent lives, is the other organisation in line to benefit.

Race organisers are set to donate the proceeds of t-shirt sales to the good causes.

A full allocation of 26,000 people have registered to run in the 10-mile race on Sunday (October 10).

Event organisers expect 31,000 runners to take part in total, with a 6.8-kilometre race and children's 1.8km run also on the schedule.

Belgium sent more than 30 athletes to the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics, returning home with 15 medals.

Michèle George won two equestrian gold medals, while Laurens Devos triumphed in the men's C9 table tennis tournament and Peter Genyn won the nation's other Paralympic title, in the men's T51 100 metres.
