Established to increase prize money and help develop the sport across Europe, the European Teqball Tour commenced last month on the beaches of Cervia in Italy.

The second edition of the door will feature men's doubles and mixed doubles competition and will take place indoors.

On offer is the Józef Bem Chelm Trophy title and a $30,000 (£22,200/€26,000) prize pot.

Serbia's Bogdan Marojevic and Nikola Mitro upset Hungarian pair Csaba Bányik and Ádám Blázsovics in the men's doubles final in Cervia, coming from one game down to win 5-12, 12-8, 12-5.

Bányik and Blázsovics - the two top-ranked men's doubles players in the world - will be among to go one better in Chelm, while Marojevic and Mitro are not due to compete.

In the mixed doubles, Bányik got his revenge on Mitro, teaming up with Zsanett Janicsek to best Mitro and Maja Umićević 12-5, 12-10.

Janicsek, ranked number one in the world in mixed doubles, will be in action, aiming to claim her second mixed doubles European Teqball Tour victory alongside Bányik.

Also in action in Chelm in France's men's doubles number-eight ranked pair Julien Grondin and Hugo Rabeux, and Poland's men's doubles number-17 ranked Adrian Duszak.

Meanwhile, the International Teqball Federation aims to finalise the revision of its 2022 calendar in an attempt to increase the number of full-time professional players.

The European Teqball Tour is a part of this strategy, hoping to build on the success of the sport in Europe.
