Competition will be held at Gliwice Arena - one of the largest multi-purpose indoor sports and entertainment venues in the country - between December 8 and 11.

Men's and women's singles, men's and women's doubles and mixed doubles will all be contested.

"First and foremost we are thrilled that we can give our athletes the platform to excel on the global stage," said International Federation of Teqball (FITEQ) general secretary Marius Vizer Jr.

"The World Championships is the biggest and most prestigious event in our calendar and we are very excited for what's in store in Poland. 

"We have been planning for this event for some time, but we have had to be cautious in terms of announcements due to the uncertainty with COVID-19. 

"FITEQ will work hand in hand with the Polish Teqball Federation and we are ready to stage the most spectacular World Championships in our history. 

"Finally, we are very grateful to the Polish Teqball Federation for their collaboration and we look forward to delivering an unforgettable event."

After the World Championships, FITEQ will host its General Assembly on December 12.

This will remain as a virtual event, as previously announced in October.

FITEQ has staged three World Championships in the history of the rapidly growing sport.

The first was in Hungarian capital Budapest in 2017, which staged the event again in 2019.

French city Reims staged the 2018 edition, but the 2020 World Championships were postponed because of the pandemic.
