Ethiopia dominated the Campaccio leg of the World Athletics Cross Country Tour, winning both the men's and women's races in San Giorgio su Legnano.

The 65th edition of Campaccio, 5,000m Junior World Championship fourth-place finisher Yehune Addisu produced a stunning final lap to move clear of the field and claim victory in the men's race.

Addisu powered around the 10-kilometre route in 28min 39sec.

Kenya rounded out the podium through Emmanuel Kiplagat and Amos Serem, 5sec and 13sec down respectively.

In the 6km women's race, Dawit Seyaum claimed victory.

The Ethiopian has come close to the 5,000 metres world record, including breaking the world record in a mixed race in Lille in November, and bested the junior world champion at the same distance, Kenya's Beatrice Chebet, on this occasion.

Seyaum won in 18:48, while Chebet finished third in 18:51.

Another Kenyan, Rahel Ghebreyohannes, finished second in 18:49, narrowly edged out in an agonising sprint finish against Seyaum.
