Martins Dukurs of Latvia moved top of the men's overall standings with his 60th men's skeleton World Cup victory in an event shortened to one-run because of "non compliance with the sweeping protocol" in Winterberg.

The six-time world champion clocked 56.36sec to beat Germany's Axel Jungk by a slender 0.01 margin.

Russian Alexander Tretiakov finished third after completing the course in 56.41.

The first run was cancelled by jury decision following the non compliance issue, the International Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation said.

Dukurs, the defending overall World Cup champion, leads the standings on 1,398 points, 39 clear of Jungk.
