The International School Sports Federation's (ISF) 2022 Gymnasiade in Normandy is set to include a Fun and Skills Zone which will allow the organisation's partners to stage activities during the event and further the ISF's goals.

Partners will be able to hold interactive games and activities to instil the leading principles of the ISF - fair play, clean sport, Olympic values and the sustainable development goals of the United Nations (UN).

The main UN sustainable development goals that the ISF promotes are good health and well-being, quality education, gender equality and the power of partnerships.

The ISF currently has 42 partners including the International Olympic Committee, the International University Sport Federation and the European Commission.

Normandy 2022 is set to take place in France from May 14 to 22, with the Fun and Skills Zone lasting from May 16 to 20.

On May 18, a non-competition day is scheduled to allow for a day focused on education.

Partners will also take to the stage of the ISF School Sport Forum, which will bring together a variety of decision-makers from Governments and other organisations to discuss the role of sport and education in the development of youth.

Nine cities in Normandy - Caen, Deauville, Écouves, Granville, Le Havre, Montivilliers, Pont-Audemer, Rouen, and Val-de-Reuil - are due to stage events, with Deauville to act as the primary hub.

The Gymnasiade has 16 sports and three Para sports on its programme, making it the largest event in the ISF's history.
