The North Carolina bid for the 2027 International University Sport Federation (FISU) Summer World University Games struck four new sponsorship deals last month.

The bid team's Fundraising Committee struck four new agreements with Cone Health, The Joseph M. Bryan Foundation, Coastal Credit Union and East West Partners to bring the bid's overall number of sponsors to 32.

Cone Health is a health service provider in the Counties of Guildford and Alamance and has been a long-term sponsorship partners of other sporting events, including the United States Figure Skating Championships, United States Masters Swimming National Championships and one of golf's biggest tournaments The Masters.

The  Joseph M. Bryan Foundation, which is led by former Greensboro Mayor Jim Melvin, is responsible for building the venue for Greensboro’s minor league baseball team after buying the land and accelerating development in the area.

In February this year, it was announced motoring manufacturer Toyota is planning to build a new giant electric vehicle battery plant at the Greensboro-Randolph Megasite in Randolph County.

Meanwhile, Coastal Credit Union - the naming rights sponsor of the Walnut Creek Amphitheatre in Raleigh - is a not-for-profit financial cooperative based in the US state.

East West Partners, the new sponsor of the bid, specialises in real estate development.

The North Carolina bid team praised members of the Fundraising Committee for their efforts in bringing the new sponsors on board.
