Ukraine were among four teams to secure quarter-final places at the International Federation of Cerebral Palsy Football (IFCPF) Men’s World Cup after winning their second group match of the tournament.

Ukraine have only been able to take part in the tournament after a fundraising campaign by the IFCPF.

Russia's invasion of Ukraine had otherwise threatened to stop the team from being able to take part.

The Ukrainian team had opened the tournament with victory over hosts Spain, with their second triumph coming today against Northern Ireland.

Both teams earned 6-0 wins in their second matches in the group.

An own goal from Sukhitkun Bunsing started a tough match for Thailand against Ireland.

Joseph Markey, Ryan Nolan, Ryan McCormack, Cormac Birt and Dillon Sheridan were also on target for Ireland in the 6-0 victory.
