International Teqball Federation (FITEQ) instructors have given a display of the sport at Santiago City Hall to conclude a two day visit to Chile.

They met Chile's National Federation President Henry Reimberg Fuentes, who has led the sport in the country since it was officially recognised by the National Sports Institute in December 2020.

The FITEQ team also visited Chile’s National Paralympic Committee for what was described as a "productive" meeting.

Officials were told about the rise of Para teqball since its official launch in 2021 and the federation's plans for continued growth in future years.

"A commitment to collaboration was made between the two organisations and FITEQ looks forward to enabling Parasport athletes in Chile with the chance to be a part of the world’s newest Parasport," a statement said.

Instructors Zoltán Gondos and Marton Keresztury led a two day course in the sport for athletes, coaches and referees in conjunction with the National Federation.

They visited many schools in the area to help promote Para teqball among young players.

The sessions took the form of workshops.

FITEQ officials also offered assistance to the federation in implementing sustainably focused Corporate Social Responsibility programmes.
