Canada's Brooke Henderson posted back-to-back rounds of 64 to lead the Evian Championship at the halfway mark in France today, sitting top of the standings by three shots.

The 2016 Women's PGA Championship winner is looking good to win her second Major, scoring eight birdies and one bogey to move onto 14-under par.

Nelly Korda of the United States, the Olympic champion, lost touch with Henderson - who she was tied with yesterday at the Evian Resort Golf Club - scoring a round of 67, moving on to 11 under.

"It feels really nice to get off to a fast start in a major Championship," said Henderson.

"It feels like it's been a while.

"To get it this far under par is really awesome."

Strong performances from Kim Sei-young and Ryu So-yeon of South Korea moves them in to a tie for third at nine-under-par.

The rest of the top 10 are on eight-under, including Americans Andrea Lee and Sophie Schubert, who went six-under for the day.

Kim Hyo-Joo of South Korea and Thai golfer Atthaya Thitikul scored five-under for the day, while Carlota Ciganda from Spain and Perrine Delacour sit on eight-under overall too.

Ko Jin-Young, the world number one, dropped from the top 10 after a second round score of 69, sitting on seven-under-par overall, tied for 11th.

Australian Lydia Ko posted symmetrical scores in the first round to join her, while Japan's Ayaka Furue - the day one leader - tumbled down with a round of 72.

Furue had three bogeys and two birdies today, for a day score of one-over-par.
