Sofia Raffaeli continued her sublime form at the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships, clinching the individual all-around title in Sofia.

The Italian scored best with three of the four apparatus - the hoop, ball, and ribbon - en route to her fourth individual gold of the International Gymnastics Federation event at Armeets Arena.

She scored 33.800 with the hoop, 34.250 with the ball and 32.950 with the ribbon, with 32.250 with the clubs also contributing to her total score of 133.250 points.

Darja Varfolomeev of Germany led the way with 33.750 with the clubs to help her finish second on 132.450.

Bulgarian home favourite Stiliana Nikolova was third with 128.800 from the four apparatus, finishing more than three points clear of Ukraine's Viktoriia Onopriienko, who notched 125.050.

The three medallists had dominated the individual apparatus finals earlier at the World Championships, winning 10 of the available 12 medals between them.

Raffaeli was also crowned hoop, ball and ribbon world champion, and Varfolomeev took gold with the clubs.

Raffaeli, Varfolomeev and Nikolova have secured individual qualifying places at the Paris 2024 Olympics through their performances in the Bulgarian capital.

The event is set to conclude tomorrow with group finals in the five hoops, and the three ribbons and two balls.
