With Greco-Roman (GR) starting alongside the remaining women's matches, the hosts extended their medal lead in Samsun.

The first of these came in the under-55 kilograms in Greco-Roman, with Muhammet Emin Cakir defeating Iran's Mohammadhadi Shaabaniabnavi and Abduvali Rahimbayev of Turkmenistan by virtue of classification points, after all three recorded three wins each.

Kerem Kamal was a more straightforward winner in the under-63kg, beating everyone in his category including Iran's Armin Moheb Sabet and Kazakhstan's Aibek Yesmuratov, the other medallists. 

Salih Aydin did the same in the under-82kg, as Moric Kismoni of Hungary and Ivan Chymr from Ukraine completed the podium, as did Fatih Onvermez in the under-97kg, a competition that saw Ukraine's Yurii Dorohan and Turkey's Oktay Demir take silver and bronze.

In the last of the Greco-Roman tournaments today, Muhammet Hamza Bakir took the gold in front of Turkish compatriot Tayfun Senyurek and Sviatoslav Kalashnikov of Ukraine.

Both women's golds went the way of the hosts too, with Melda Dernekci leading an under-59kg category, from Ukraine's Oksana Moskalova and Gaelle Ruiz from France.

Finally, Nazan Batir claimed the under-72kg crown ahead of Angela Kristina Torres of Mexico and Vahide Nur Gok of Turkey.
