Its delegation consists of Mate Bor, the chief of staff and senior advisor to President Gábor Borsányi, and Gergely Murányi, FITEQ's head of diplomatic relations.

Both officials are among the panellists for the discussion on the "future fan", which is due to be chaired by Global Sustainable Sport chief executive and founder Mike Laflin and also features contributions from Commonwealth Games Federation Athletes' Advisory Commission chair Brendan Williams and International Modern Pentathlon Union communications manager Jonathan Coates.

FITEQ is listed as a federation partner of Host City 2022, offering delegates in Glasgow the opportunity to learn more about teqball, which it claims is the world's fastest-growing sport.

Teqball was invented in Hungary, and is played on a curved table combining elements of football and table tennis.

FITEQ was established as its governing body in 2017, and holds ambitions for eventual inclusion at the Summer Olympics, although it was not among the nine sports shortlisted for additional places at Los Angeles 2028.

It is recognised by the Global Association of International Sport Federations (GAISF) and is on the programme as a medal sport at multi-sport events including next year's European Games, but its pursuit of International Olympic Committee (IOC) recognition remains ongoing.

Host City 2022 also comes fewer than two weeks prior to the Teqball World Championships in Nuremberg, scheduled for November 23 to 27.

The theme for the 10^th edition of the conference is "face to face with new realities".

It is set to feature more than 60 speakers including GAISF and International Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation President Ivo Ferriani, who is also an IOC Executive Board member, International Cycling Union President David Lappartient, fellow IOC member Khunying Patama Leeswadtrakul and IOC honorary members Sam Ramsamy and Sir Craig Reedie.

The two-day event is due to be held on Tuesday (November 15) and Wednesday (November 16).
