The Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) has signed an agreement that it has described as a "bargain" for its athletes prior to the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, locking in its training camp preparations.

The POC Executive Board approved this measured for qualified athletes during its latest meeting at the Papa Bolo brewpub in Tagaytay.

Philippines' team is to be held near La Moselle river in Paris, according to POC President Abraham "Bambol" Tolentino, as reported by Business Mirror.

It comes after the POC President visited Paris in October last year to scout the area for possible facilities before landing on the location in Deuil-La-Barre, a commune in the northern suburbs of the French capital.

The town, which has a population of 22,000, is located in the Department of Val-d'Oise and the arrondissement of Sarcelles and located only 8.5 miles from the centre of Paris.

"It's a bargain and it's affordable," said Tolentino.

"It's all-in - free breakfast, lunch and dinner, and more importantly free venue, doctor, medical and sauna, among others.

"Everything is there in the sport venue."

Per day, the POC will pay €65 (£57/$67) for each qualified athlete who will train in Paris prior to the Games, which is due to take place from July 26 to August 11.

"It could either be a one-month or two-month stay in Paris ahead of the Games, depending on when an athlete gets his or her qualification," added Tolentino.

"We did our best to get an early reservation because representatives from other National Olympic Committees already went there like Brazil and the United States to get early reservation," said the POC President.

"Otherwise, it will be difficult if we didn't get an early reservation."
