Austria have claimed the women’s team HS102 title at the International Ski and Snowboard Federation Ski Jumping World Cup in Zao, Japan, with a dominant display.

Austria’s pairing of Chiara Kruezer and Eva Pinkelnig combined to score a total of 624.6 points.

Kreuzer managed jumps of 87.5 metres and 94.0m, earning her 93.4 and 106.7 points respectively, while Pinkelnig landed 93.5 and 94.5m across her two efforts, scoring 100.6 and 109.5 points.

Reflecting on Austria’s victory Kruezer said: "Our jumps were all on a good level and I hope that we’ll get a few more of these jumps."

In second place 35 points behind the winners were Norwegian duo Thea Minyan Bjoerseth and Anna Odine Stroem, who concluded the event with 589.3 points.

Bjoerseth managed 89.5m and 85.0m across her two jumps, earning herself 94.5 and 86.9 points respectively, while Stroem achieved 85.0m and 95.0m in her two jumps, scoring 88.5 and 109 points respectively.

Germany’s pair of Katharina Althaus and Selina Freitag completed the podium, with 581.8 points.

Althaus registered jumps of 82.5 and 93.0 metres, scoring 84.9 and 99.9 points respectively, while Freitag jumped 92.0 and 91.5 metres, as she earned 102.8 and 100.1 points respectively.

Canada just missed out on the podium with Alexandria Loutitt and Abigail Strate scoring 580.5 points as they finished fourth, with a best jump of 96.5m from Loutitt.

In fifth were Slovenia’s duo of Ema Klinec and Nika Kriznar who scored 574.0 points, with a best jump of 94.5m from Kriznar.
