The quartet of Daniel Tschofenig, Michael Hayböck, Jan Hörl, and Stefan Kraft combined to post a winning score of 1,057.3.

They were followed by Slovenia as Lovro Kos, Domen Prevc, Timi Zajc, and Anže Lanišek managed 1,031.1 while Poland's Piotr Żyła, Paweł Wąsek, Aleksander Zniszczoł and Kamil Stoch claimed the bronze medal on 1,022.3.

"It was really cool at the end when you know you have almost 30 points ahead," said Kraft.

"But it's not that easy because you still have to keep the tension high.

"It's easy to slip up, and you can't afford to do that.

"We really had a cool competition today.

"The trip here has already paid off." 

The most individual points were collected by Norway's Halvor Egner Granerud, with 288.9, ahead of Japan's Ryoyu Kobayashi on 284.8 whose team did not finish higher than seventh place despite the Olympic champion's strong performance.

The result extends Austria's Nations Cup lead to 1,094 points in front of closest challenger Norway as the country sits on 6,162 to 5,068.

In yesterday's women's HS130 World Cup event, victory went to Japan's Yuki Ito with 238.8 points.

Second place went to Anna Odine Stroem of Norway with 237.6 points.

The podium was completed by Katharina Althaus of Germany, who scored 236.9 points, which included the highest scoring jump in the first round of 123 metres, which scored her 125 points.

The highest scoring jump of round two was by Maren Lundby of Norway, whose effort of 120.5 metres earned her 126.6 points.

Lundby placed sixth with 233.7 points.

The final men's team event of the season is set to take place on April 1 in Planica, Slovenia.

Lahti is set to stage an event in the men's individual competition tomorrow.
