Tennium represents players including Denmark's men's singles world number eight Holger Rune and Czech Republic's women's singles world number 36 Marie Bouzková.

It has previously delivered Association of Tennis Professionals 500 and 250 tournaments such as the Barcelona Open, Argentina Open and European Open, and Women's Tennis Association events including the Valencia Open.

The ITF said Tennium's appointment followed "a competitive tendering process", and it is set to begin its work immediately.

The partnership particularly focuses on Group C matches at the Davis Cup Finals in Valencia from September 12 to 17, followed by the Final Eight knockout stage in another Spanish city in Málaga from November 21 to 26.

Tennium is also set to work with the ITF on the planned return of the mixed-gender Hopman Cup in the French city of Nice from July 19 to 23.

ITF President and International Olympic Committee member David Haggerty believes Tennium will be a suitable partner to help deliver its events.

"We are delighted to welcome Tennium on board to support us in the delivery of this year’s Davis Cup Finals and they share our ambitious vision for the competition," the American official said.

"It was important for the ITF that we had in place an experienced and professional team on the ground and Tennium, with their impressive record in delivering world class tennis events in Spain and across the world, are the perfect partner for us and the cities of Málaga and Valencia."

Tennium chief executive and founder Kristoff Puelinckx added: "It is a great honour that the ITF entrusts us to help them organise this edition of the Davis Cup.

"We are very pleased to be able to bring our expertise and knowledge in delivering world-class tennis to Málaga and Valencia.

"Our aim is to support ITF at every level for this historical and competitive event which is the World Cup of Tennis."

Valencia's Pavelló Municipal Font de Sant Lluís is set to host Group C matches including co-hosts Spain, Serbia, Czech Republic and South Korea at the Davis Cup.

The Unipol Arena in Bologna, Italy and the Manchester Arena in Britain have also been named as group stage venues, along with a Croatian city to be confirmed.

Defending champions Canada are set to play in Group A with co-hosts Italy, Sweden and Chile.

Britain have been tied with last year's runners-up Australia, France and Switzerland in Group B.

Group D features two-time winners Croatia with The Netherlands, United States and Finland.

The top two in each group are set to advance to the Final Eight at the Palacio de Deportes José María Martín Carpena in Málaga.

The ITF ended a long-term Davis Cup partnership with Kosmos, founded by former Spanish footballer Gerard Piqué, five years into a 25-year agreement in January.

Kosmos' backing had been expected to be worth $3 billion (£2.4 billion/€2.8 billion), but proved controversial in moving the Davis Cup away from its traditional format of home and away ties in favour of an end-of-season World Cup-style event.
