Csaba Bányik of Hungary took home two gold medals in the men's and mixed doubles at the 2023 Teqball Tour event in Podgorica in the final qualifying event for this year's European Games, where the sport will be making its debut.

Banyik teamed up with Kisztina Ács to defeat compatriots Petra Péchy and Balázs Velkey 2-0 in the mixed doubles final at the Verde Complex as Hungary once again dominated the tournament of a sport they invented.

The runners-up gave the champions trouble in the first set, but Bányik hit two aces that won them the set and eventually the entire match-up in the capital city of Montenegro.

"We have re-think our opportunities in doubles as we triumphed at both tournaments since we teamed up," said Ács.

"We seem to be a great duo and complement each other."

In third place was the Hungarian world champion duo of Lea Vasos and Adam Bako, who defeated Serbian pair of Bogdan Marojević and Anastasija Lemajić.

In the men's doubles, Bányik secured his ninth consecutive title in the category as he teamed up with Balázs Katz to defeat Serbia's Marojević and Nikola Mitro in the final 2-0.

"Mitro and Marojevic are the toughest opponents in our category and it is always a huge satisfaction to beat them," said Katz.

"With this result, both of us qualified to the European Games, thus we have our next goal, to win there too."

Bako and Ádám Blázsovics took bronze after defeating the Romanian duo of Szabolcs Ilyes and Apor Gyorgydeak in three sets.

In the women's doubles, title holders Vasos and Zsanett Janicsek claimed a 2-0 win over Kinga Barabási and Katalin Dako of Romania.

"Winning is the best feeling ever," said Vasos.

"After Skopje, we had some difficulties but we came over together and finally won again.

"This is a great base to have dreams at the European Games as both of us qualified with this result."

Greco took the lead in the first set, but the winner of the Madrid event was able to defeat her in the next two sets to secure the title.

"I was surprised that I kept my coolness during the final even with many difficulties, however this calmness helped me to win and I hope that I can continue my streak”,"said Izsak.

Barabási defeated Amelie Julian of France to secure third.
