The Vietnam Olympic Committee (VOC) has signed a partnership with Herbalife Nutrition.

Nutritional products are due to be provided to 165 athletes in 2023, with the Vietnam Paralympic Association also part of the deal.

A singing ceremony in Hanoi confirmed the arrangement.

Tran Van Mạnh, secretary general of the VOC, said the athletes receiving products had achieved recent good results.

They are expected to compete at the Southeast Asian (SEA) Games in Cambodia next month, as well as the Hangzhou 2022 Asian Games in September and October.

Further afield, they will be hoping to earn spots at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

"Nutrition products play a key role in supporting Vietnamese athletes to improve their physical strength and endurance," said Tran. 

"This is important for them to earn high results in international competitions, especially the 32nd SEA Games."

Herbalife also organises training courses about nutrition for coaches and athletes.
