Eight men's teams are set to compete in beach soccer at the Kraków-Małopolska 2023 European Games, while six countries are due to take part in the inaugural women's tournament.

On the men's side, defending champions Portugal are set to participate alongside the Minsk 2019 silver medallists Spain and the 2021 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup bronze medallists Switzerland.

Hosts Poland are joined by Azerbaijan, Italy, Moldova and Ukraine in completing the men's line-up.

The first beach soccer European Games champions from Baku 2015 in Russia are unable to participate at Kraków-Małopolska 2023, where the country's athletes have been barred along with those from Belarus because of the war in Ukraine.
