Home favourite Miras Ualiyev triumphed in the under-58 kilograms category in the final against Turkmenistan's Novruz Atayev, while his compatriot Adilbek Seissov triumphed in the under-64kg final against Uzbekistan's Mukhammadali Sadullaev.

Askar Abdulla and Talgat Zhiyentayev provided further joy for Kazakhstan at the Beeline Arena, winning under-98kg and over-98kg golds respectively against Kyrgyzstan's Zheemyrsaev Beknazar and Uzbekistan's Islom Nosirov.

Uzbekistan claimed three golds in the men's combat sambo.

Sharif Kushaev beat Kazakhstan's Amanzhol Khaisa in the under-71kg final, and Furkat Ruziev overcame Turkmenistan's Muhammetnyyaz Gurbandurdyyev at under-79lg.

Sebastian Temesi of Australia was the first athlete from Oceania to reach a final in the senior competitions, but was beaten to the under-88kg title by Sokhibjon Khasanboev.

Junior sport sambo competition was also held today.

In the men's event, Uzbekistan won four and Kazakhstan three golds, while on the women's side the host nation took five of the titles, with Uzbekistan and Mongolia winning one apiece.

The Asia and Oceania Sambo Championships is due to conclude tomorrow with the women's and men's sport sambo competitions.
