amy_oliver_11-07-11July 10 - Larry Godfrey and Amy Oliver earned bronze for Britain at the World Archery Championships in Turin as they defeated the Polish pair of Jacek Proc and Justyna Mospinek in the mixed team tournament's third place shoot-out.


Both Godfrey and Oliver had made the quarter-finals of the individual recurve competitions.

Korea's Kim Woojin, who had knocked out Godfrey, earned individual gold today, beating fellow countryman Oh Jin Hyek in the final.

In the women's recurve final, Dennise Astrid Van Lamoen of Chile beat Georgia's Kristine Esebua to the gold after Korea's female archers, unusually, had failed to make the last four.

The men's team gold went to Italy, while Korea won the women's team and mixed team golds.

The British women's recurve team of Alison Williamson, Naomi Folkard and Amy Oliver had a disappointing championships, going out to Russia in the first round.
