Taylor Phinney_1_12_JuneJune 12 - American athletes will be looking good – literally – after the United States Olympic Committee (USOC) extended its tie-up with Oakley for a further eight years.


The official eyewear supplier to USOC and Team USA for the London 2012 Games inked a new contract until 2020 to provide athletes with performance-based sunglasses, glasses, goggles and associated accessories.

Oakley enjoys the licensing rights for supplying a range of technically advanced protective, active, lifestyle and corrective eyewear to the two organisations.

The agreement will see hundreds of US athletes from more than 15 sports rely on Oakley eyewear at leading competitions including – aside from London 2012 –  Sochi 2014, Rio 2016, Pyeongchang 2018 and the 2020 Olympics and Paralympics at a yet-to-be-decided destination along with the Youth Olympics at Nanjing 2014, Lillehammer 2016, and the 2018 and 2020 Games.

A percentage of the proceeds from sales of all Team USA eyewear will support the training of US Olympic and Paralympic athletes and hopefuls.
