Four new members elected to the FIAS athletes commission

The elections of four new members of the International Sambo Federation's Athletes Commission took place in Yerevan during the World Championships on November 10-12. Based on the results of the vote count, Margarita Bazhayeva from Kazakhstan, Sasha Buwalda from the Netherlands, Sydney Sy from the Philippines and Seidou Nji Mouluh from Cameroon were elected to the commission.

The International Sambo Federation (FIAS) announced their official calendar for 2024. Kazakhstan will become one of the Sambo centres in 2024. Their capital Astana will host the World championship from November 8-10, and Aktau will host Asia and Oceania Sambo Youth and master championships. The European Sambo championships will be held in Serbia’s Novi Sad from May 9-10, a day later the EuropeanYouth and Junior Sambo championship will start.

The professional series of the Global Esports Federation, the Global Esports Tour (GET), will begin its upcoming season in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in April 2024. Organized by the Brazilian Confederation of Games and Esports (CBGE) and with support from national, state, and local partners in Brazil. The event will help boost economic and tourism development in the city
