The Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong (SF&OC) has confirmed that nominations can be made until December 11 after which public voting will take place from January 9 to February 15 ahead of the Awards presentation ceremony at the Grand Hall of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on March 21.

Details of the Awards were revealed at Hong Kong Olympic House, where SF&OC President Timothy Fok Tsun-ting paid special thanks to Samsung Electronics Hong Kong, the title sponsor for a third consecutive year, and urged national sports associations to nominate their athletes to support the event.

Among the winners of last year’s Awards present at the event were snooker players Ng On Yee and Lee Chun Wai, as well as gymnast Shek Wai Hung, table tennis player Doo Hoi Kem, and 10-pin bowler Wu Siu Hong.

After speeches from officiating VIPs, they accompanied Fok in unveiling the 2015 Awards’ website, accessible here. 

Lawrence Chow, chief marketing officer of Samsung Electronics Hong Kong, also took part in the unveiling along with Rebecca Lou, acting assistant director of Hong Kong’s leisure and cultural services department, Ronnie Wong Man-chiu, honorary secretary general of the SF&OC, and Vivien Lau, chairperson of the Awards' Organising Committee

In a bid to encourage public involvement and active participation in the event, the SF&OC will continue to organise the public voting through the website with details due to be announced on January 9.

Sports reporters from local media organisations will also be invited to vote for their favourite athletes.
