England continued their dominant start to the European Open Netball Championships as they beat Fiji to record their third victory of the tournament in Cardiff.

The defending champions proved far too strong for their Fijian opponents with a 94-31 win at the Sport Wales National Centre.

It maintained the Roses' 100 per cent start to the competition and moved them a step closer to claiming their second successive title.

Scotland bounced back from their defeat to England yesterday as they sealed a narrow victory against Wales.

The Thistles held firm in a closely-fought contest, running out 58-49 winners over the host nation.

Earlier on in the day, Northern Ireland also comfortably swept aside the invitational side from Fiji with a 58-46 triumph.

Fiji were expected to be among England's main challengers but have endured a disappointing outing in Wales so far and are yet to win a match.

A further two matches are scheduled on the final day of the event tomorrow as Scotland battle Northern Ireland before England play Wales.

UK public-service broadcaster the BBC has acquired rights to the tournament.

They are showing live coverage and highlights of the event on television, online platforms and via the BBC Sport mobile application.
