Switzerland and defending champions Finland secured big wins over Hungary and Lichtenstein respectively on day two of the International Floorball Federation European World Championship qualifiers.

The Swiss ran out 21-0 winners against Hungary in their Group Three match at the Vidzemes OC in Valmiera, Latvia.

Manuel Engel particularly impressed with four goals and two assists for his side, earning him the man-of-the-match award.

Finland, who thrashed Poland 13-1 yesterday, secured victory by an even bigger margin in their Group One match as they defeated Lichtenstein 24-0 at the Kalev Sports Hall in the Estonian capital Tallinn.

Atte Eronen was given the man-of-the-match award for Finland after an excellent display which saw him score three goals and create one.

Elsewhere, Finland's neighbours Norway secured a 13-0 win over Spain in Group Four at Arena Klokocina in Nitra, Slovakia, whilst there was more success for Scandinavian countries as Denmark ran out 16-0 winners against Great Britain.

Although there were several large winning margins during the day's play, there were also several close matches with Poland beating Belgium 9-2 in Group One, Iceland edging Italy 3-2 in group three and Germany winning 6-5 against Slovakia in Group Two.

The three later matches saw the three host countries take to the floor with Estonia beating The Netherlands 9-3 in their Group One match, Slovakia seeing off France by a 10-3 scoreline in a Group Two match and Latvia defeating Russia 7-3 in their Group Three encounter.

The World Championships are scheduled to take place in the Czech capital Prague from December 1 to 9.
