British Lionhearts produced a superb display to win 4-1 away against the Italia Thunder in the World Series of Boxing in Milan today.

It followed a 5-0 victory in the corresponding home fixture between the two sides in Group B.

Will Cawley got the visitors off to a perfect start at the Palazzetto dello Sport with a split decision under 52 kilograms success over Claudio Grande.

Lionhearts' overseas boxer Dzmitry Asanau then won 3-0 against Kiril Rusinov in the 60kg lightweight division, before Mirko Natalizi reduced the arrears by knocking-out Cyrus Pattinson in the under 69kg welterweight bout.

Joseph Ward restored the British teams advantage with a 3-0 under 81kg success over Blagoy Naydenov to guarantee victory.

Frazer Clarke then completed proceedings by winning by the same margin over Guido Vianello.

The Lionhearts now boast three wins and a defeat from their matches to date, while Italia Thunder have a solitary success and three losses.

France Fighting Roosters top the group,

They will host the Croatian Knights in Paris tomorrow, with their rivals having lost all of their matches so far.
