New Zealand won all three of their games against England, South Africa and Australia on the first day of the Fast5 Netball World Series in Melbourne.

They began the day with a 32-19 win over England, before beating South Africa 39-36 and edging past Australia 34-32 at the Melbourne Arena. 

Australia finished the day with two wins, defeating Malawi 29-15 and Jamaica 37-22. 

Jamaica secured two victories against South Africa and Malawi, winning 47-27 and 35-30 respectively.

England suffered three defeats, losing to Malawi 27-26 and South Africa 28-25 as well as to New Zealand. 

Tomorrow's action will see Malawi play South Africa, Australia meet England, New Zealand come up against Jamaica and Australia play South Africa.

These fixtures will then be followed by New Zealand against Malawi and Jamaica against England. 

The play-off games and final will also be held tomorrow. 

The Fast5 format sees teams play 24 minute games.
