European 10 metres platform champion Celine van Duijn is among the leading lights taking part in the fourth leg of the International Swimming Federation (FINA) Diving Grand Prix Series that starts in Madrid tomorrow.

Dutch athlete van Duijn will have strong opposition in the form of Italy’s 2011 European 10m platform champion, 31-year-old Noemi Batki, who has won eight European medals.

More than 80 athletes from 19 countries will be participating.

Among the others taking part in the spectacle which will be hosted by M-86 Swimming Center until Sunday (June 9) are Batki’s team mates Giovanni Tocci, the Rio 2016 Olympian and European 1m springboard silver medallist, and 1m springboard specialist Elena Bertocchi.

Britain will be represented by Noah Williams, who won European and Commonwealth silver with Matthew Dixon last year in the 10m synchro event.

Twenty-one-year-old Rio 2016 Olympian Haram Woo, five times an Asian Games medallist, is also in the field.

Among those carrying the hopes of the host nation will be four divers from Madrid in Alberto Arévalo, Nicolás García, Valeria Antolino and Rocío Velázquez .
