Rafael Kamalov and Rafail Aiukaev emerged as the winners of two all-Russian men's finals at the World Taekwondo Europe Olympic Weight Categories Championships in Dublin.

Kamalov progressed to the final of the men's under-80 kilogram event at the Sport Ireland Campus, where he faced the challenge of compatriot Anton Kotkov.

A closely fought contest ended with Kamalov emerging as a 4-3 winner to secure top spot on the podium.

Bronze medals were awarded to beaten semi-finalists Budimir Krivokuca of Serbia and Italy's reigning world champion Simone Alessio.

The men's over-80kg competition also saw two Russian competitors tussle for victory.

Aiukaev emerged as a convincing 22-12 winner against his team mate Roman Kuznetsov to win gold.

The first bronze medal was earned by France's Omar El Yazidi, with Ukraine’s Vladyslav Bondar earning the second.

Russia were denied a third gold medal of the day when Polina Khan suffered a defeat in the women's over-67kg competition.

She was beaten impressively by Poland's Aleksandra Kowalzcuk, who secured an 11-6 victory in the gold-medal bout.

London 2012 Olympic champion Milica Mandic of Serbia earned bronze, along with France's Althea Laurin.

World championship bronze medallist Doris Pole won the women's under-67 title.

The Croatian beat Serbia's Nadica Bozanic 26-18 in the final.

The podium was completed by Russia's Yulia Zaitseva and Germany's Vanessa Koerndl.
