China's Zhou Lijun won home gold on day two of the World Taekwondo Grand Slam Champions Series in Wuxi, defeating Britain's double Olympic champion Jade Jones in the women's 57 kilograms final.

The 20-year-old won bronze at this year's World Championships in Manchester and came from behind to triumph against the London 2012 and Rio 2016 winner.

Jones, who won her first world title on home soil in Manchester, took the opening stanza under the sets format, but Zhou battled back to win 2-1.

The British fighter has now lost in the final of the Grand Slam Champions Series for a second consecutive year.

Reigning Asian Games champion Luo Zongshi won another Chinese medal, collecting bronze.

In the women's 49kg final there was disappointment for China, as their legendary fighter Wu Jingyu was beaten by Thailand's reigning world champion and Olympic bronze medallist Panipak Wongpattanakit.

Bronze was claimed by China's Zuo Ju.

Britain missed out in a second final, as Mahama Cho was beaten by South Korea's In Kyo-don in the men's over-80kg division.

The Korean triumphed 2-0 as Rafail Aiukaev of Russia won bronze.

Tomorrow's final day of competition will feature the men's 58kg and the women's over-67kg.
